Winemaking Style

Fleur du Cap is not constrained by farm, vineyard or climate; having the freedom to choose the finest grapes from the best vineyards in the Cape Winelands.  The winemaking team unlocks the natural expression inherent in the grapes from pockets of vines in diverse locations selected for their unique terroir and flavor profiles. Stellenbosch is the heartland of these vineyard sites, followed by neighboring areas such as Somerset West, Sir Lowry’s Pass and Elgin, along with Robertson, Darling and the cool-climate Gansbaai. Each vineyard is selected for its unique combination of soils, climate, aspect and orientation best suited to the particular grape variety. Fleur du Cap works closely with a well-established network of growers who share a single minded vision of refinement and fruit purity.
